Happy Friday, dolls! Hooray, the weekend is upon us! ? Today, I’m bringing you a review of the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation! I’ve had this foundation for almost two months so I’ve had plenty of time to put it to the test and formulate my opinion.
What it is: L.A. Girl’s high-definition, long-wear, illuminating Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation is ideal for a flawless looking, full coverage finish. Lightweight formula is comfortable for all day wear. Paraben free formula with added antioxidants helps hydrate and improve the skin’s appearance (ulta.com).
Price: $8.99, 0.95 oz (ulta.com)
Packaging: I LOVE this sleek packaging. Doesn’t it look like a total dupe for the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation? 😉 The plastic is sturdy and travel friendly, so you don’t have to worry about glass shattering in your luggage. Bonus points for having a convenient and hygienic pump as well.
Formula: The foundation has a medium viscosity, not too thick, not too runny. It yields medium coverage with one layer, but is buildable to full. I absolutely love the satin finish it gives my skin. It manages to look natural while blurring my pores and imperfections. Without powder, the foundation has a wear time of about 5-6 hours. If you bake with a powder, it will last all day.Shade Range: There are currently only 7 shades available on the Ulta website, one of them being pure white as a foundation mixer/lightener, but there are 16 shades offered on the LA Girl website. I picked up Warm Beige, the darkest shade offered on Ulta.com, and it matched my golden undertones perfectly.Application: I like applying this foundation best with my Crown Round Contour Brush for ultra full coverage or with a Pur Cosmetics Beauty Sponge for a more natural, dewy finish. Both work excellent depending on the desired finish and coverage.Swatches: The top photo is one layer application of the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation over the Benefit PoreFessional Face Primer. It provides medium coverage and has a natural looking, satin finish. The second was taken after dusting some RCMA No Color Powder over the foundation. I prefer a more matte finish, plus I feel it locks in the foundation and prolongs its longevity.
Overall Rating: I absolutely adore this LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation so I happily award it 10/10 stars. The packaging is chic, travel friendly, and you really can’t beat the price point for the quality of the product. The foundation gives buildable medium to full coverage, blurs imperfections, and gives a natural, airbrushed finish. This has become one of my favorite foundations from both high end and drugstore and I highly recommend!
Have you tried the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Illuminating Foundation? What are your thoughts on the formula?
