August/ September Monthly Favorites and Reviews
Hello, everyone! Today, I’m sharing with you my August/ September Favorites! These are all the products, from beauty to skincare and fashion, that I couldn’t put down in the month of August and September. You can find my May Monthly Favorites here. I hope you enjoy!
MAKEUP
Touch in Sol No More Pore Blem Prime Essence: I assumed this watery primer would not be hydrating enough for my dry skin, but its moisturizing formula makes for a smooth canvas before foundation application. My dry skin just soaks this all up! I love this so much it makes me want to try their Priming Water, which targets dry skin.L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation: I dedicated an entire blogpost review to this foundation, which you can find here. In short, I have found myself reaching for this almost everyday for its full coverage and longlasting formula. I just feel confident on days I wear this foundation, knowing my makeup will look and stay flawless all day. This is my favorite foundation from L’Oreal, ever.NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette: This sleek, travel friendly compact has every powder you’d need for setting, highlighting, and contouring. The formula is creamy, pigmented, and blendable. The two highlighter shades are particularly gorgeous. They’re so finely milled and makes it look like you’re glowing from within. Sugar Cosmetics Kohl of Honour Intense Kajal in Black Out: This was a surprise winner from April’s Ipsy (blogpost here). I was impressed with how creamy and easily this retractable eye pencil glided on the lash line, not to mention how long lasting it is. Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara: The narrow rubber brush really grips the root of the lash to build volume, while also combing upward root to tip to prevent clumps. It has a wet, pitch black formula that quickly builds intense volume and length. After two coats, I am shocked at how long and thick my lashes look. This might be my new favorite mascara!Makeup Revolution Renaissance Lipstick in Vow: First off, the rose gold packaging is tres chic. Second, Vow is a stunning warm nude that complements any eye look without washing me out. The formula is creamy, but not to the point where it moves around. It saturates the lips in opaque color and has a matte finish that lasts comfortably.
SKINCARE
Peach and Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum: I’ve been reaching for this everyday since receiving it in last month’s Boxycharm (blogpost here). This serum has a clear, jelly consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin, while still providing ample hydration. I love how moisturizing, yet lightweight this feels on the skin.
FASHION
Taos Star Sneakers: I dedicated an entire blogpost review to these sneakers, which you can find here. In short, these are the most adorable and comfy canvas sneakers. They go with everything from casual shorts to swingy dresses.Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite products at the moment?
