Axis Y Korean Skincare Review: Glow Serum, Artichoke Ampoule, Duo Cream

AXIS – Y was kind enough to send me three new products from this line, so today I wanted to share with you my review!

An artichoke ampoule that delivers rich antioxidants, nutrients, and hydration to heal damaged, irritated skin barriers. Phytonutrients defend against bacteria and pollutants to prevent future breakouts and irritation (axis-y.com).How beautiful is this glass bottle packaging? I love the apothecary aesthetic of their entire product line. This serum has a slightly viscous consistency, that once spread out, breaks down to an almost watery gel like texture that feels quite cooling and refreshing on the skin. Axis Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule There is a very slight clean scent, which I find refreshing. It immediately moisturizes and smooths the skin, without an overly dewy or glassy skin finish. I find this layers beautifully, adding an extra boost of hydration between my essences and serums. A “U Zone” and “T Zone” cream that tends to your skin’s year-round, ever-changing moisturizing needs for a youthful, nourished glow (axis-y.com).How satisfying is this split packaging? This Duo Cream jar consists of the white Ceramide U-Zone Cream, which provides rich moisture for drier areas, and the blue Heartleaf T-Zone Cream, which provides supple hydration for oilier areas. I love that you can customize the formula to which works best for you depending on your skin type and the changing seasons. Because of my dry skin, I dabble mostly in the white cream, which offers a higher level of moisture, though I can appreciate the weightless gel texture of the blue side. I’ve used this as both my day and nighttime moisturizer and encountered no issues. Makeup sits perfectly fine on top without breaking apart or pilling. At night, when combined with the serum and ampoule from this line, the cream provides ample hydration to last until morning. Overall rating: 9/10 stars. Buy here.

A Niacinamide based serum that corrects dark spots and improves uneven skin tone. With the help of plant-derived Squalane, this serum retains moisture to keep your skin glowing and healthy wherever you go (axis-y.com).According to the AXIS-Y website, this serum contains 5% Niacinamide, which is the optimal concentration to produce the best results of reducing dark spots. It could also be used at night as a sleeping pack. I’ve only tested out this serum for about two weeks, so I cannot testify to its long term effects in dramatically brightening dark spots or deep hyperpigmentation. However, I have noticed that when combined with the Vitamin C Serum in my routine, my skin is noticeably brighter and I have a more clear and youthful complexion. Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum This is so incredibly gentle, I don’t believe it would cause any irritation, even for those with the most sensitive skin types. The cooling gel serum breaks down to an almost bouncy, weightless essence that blends into the skin like a dream, smoothing away any rough patches, and giving a glassy skin effect.
