Boxycharm July 2019 Unboxing and Review
Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I’m sharing with you my review of July’s Boxycharm! You can find my review on May’s Boxycharm here. Boxycharm is my favorite beauty subscription box that provides 5-6 full-sized items for $21/month. What I love about Boxycharm is that the value of all the luxury products always well exceed the $21 price (sign up here).
July’s theme is Au Naturale and comes with 5 products.
- Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask – $35 (Buy here)
Get a shot of green goodness with this treatment mask that nourishes, smoothes and brightens, for softer, smoother, more radiant skin (elemis.com). This veggie mask smells so good, like herbal ginger tea, making for a relaxing spa-like experience. It tingles slightly upon application, but quickly fades away. This left my skin feeling very soft and moisturized. However, I did not detect any other difference or improvement to the general appearance of my skin.
- Butter London Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette – $32 (Buy here)
Bring out your inner goddess and reveal your inner queen with this vibrant, limited-edition Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette from Butter London. Enchant with six highly pigmented, long-lasting shades ranging from mesmerizing matte, dark brown to metallic green with eye-catching shimmer (butterlondon.com). I really dig the pretty, wooden packaging which ties in beautifully with the Boxy theme this month. The shade selection is beautiful, though not groundbreaking. The formula is not as pigmented as say, Colourpop pressed eyeshadows, but both the matte and shimmer shades are very soft and creamy. Overall, this palette makes for easy, everyday natural smokey eyes.
- Luxie Gaea Brush Set – $30 (Buy Here)
Gaea is the personification of Earth and the mother of everything beautiful in this world. This set is a tribute to the natural beauty in all of us (luxiebeauty.com). This brush set has the softest synthetic bristles. The trio includes a Luxie Foundation Brush, Large Eye Blending Brush (my personal favorite) and Precision Crease Brush. I’ve always enjoyed the quality of Luxie Brushes, so I’m happy to add three more to the collection.
- Alamar Cosmetics Mother of Pearl Gloss in Sirenita – $10 (Buy Here)
Juicy, shade-shifting, lip luminzier drenched in pearlescent reflects. Formulated with rich Sea Buckthorn extract and Camellia oil, this Mother Of Pearl gloss will hydrate your lips while delivering a smooth, shining, iridescent effect (alamarcosmetics.com). I am not a fan of metallic or glittery lip products, so I’m relieved the shimmers in this lipgloss are very subtle. The formula is lightweight and non sticky. Because the color is very sheer, I like layering this over a darker lipliner or lipstick instead of wearing it on its own. As a bonus, this smells just like yummy pineapples 😍
- Appeal Gel Liner in Desert Taupe – $21 (Buy Here)
The Gel Liner can be used as both an eye liner and lip liner (appealcosmetics.com). I rarely reach for colorful eyeliners, so I was ready to pass this along… until I read that this gel liner can be used on the eyes and lips. Wuuuut?! Game changer! 👏 This liner has an ultra creamy formula that glides on the lips like a dream. Desert Taupe is a flattering terracotta brown liner that pairs beautifully with too-light nude lipsticks.Overall Rating: I was satisfied with July’s Boxycharm so I’m giving it a rating of 9/10 stars. July’s box has a combined value of $128, and I really enjoyed the aesthetically pleasing Au Naturale theme. My favorite picks of the batch are the Alamar Lipgloss and Luxie Brush Set.
Did you enjoy your Boxycharm? Which products are you most excited to test out?
