Boxycharm November 2016 Unboxing & First Impressions
Happy Hump Day, loves! It’s time to dive into November’s Boxycharm! Boxycharm is my favorite beauty subscription box that provides 5-6 full-sized items for $21/month. What I love about Boxycharm is that the value of all the luxury products always well exceed the $21 price.
November’s theme is Groovy Town and comes with 5 products.
1. Vintage Illumination Face Highlight in Rose Gold – $32 (vintagecosmetics.com)This highlight has reflective pearls that add radiance on contact, a delicate glow, and a diamond-like finish to the skin (excerpt). This highlighter is gorgeous! It’s creamy and imparts a peachy golden glow to the cheekbones. It would make a lovely blush topper as well.
2. Makeup Geek Blush Powder in Chivalry – $10 (makeupgeek.com)Makeup Geek Blushes blend effortlessly into the skin to add the perfect dose of radiance to your cheeks. The finely milled powder guarantees a smooth buttery feel and a flawless application every time. Rich pigmentation combined with a fade resistant formula offers buildable, long lasting color. This talc free formula is also great for sensitive skin (excerpt). I adore Makeup Geek Blushes so I am stoked to add yet another to my collection. This terracotta shade is super pigmented so a little goes a long way.
3. Crown Brush C513 Pro Detail Crease – $12.99 (crownbrush.com)The Pro Detail Crease Brush’s bullet shape and dense Capra blend bristles easily fit into the crease of your eyelid. This brush is made with a high grade of Capra hair, making it easy to clean and maintain with proper care (excerpt). Although this is labeled as a crease brush, I personally use this as a pencil brush for buffing out eyeshadow on the lower lash line.
4. Studio Makeup On-the-Go Palette – $49.95 (studio-makeup.com)The On the Go Eyeshadow Palette includes 9 shades that are perfect for creating day or night looks (exerpt). Like the other Studio Palette I received in a previous Boxycharm (review here), this is a good quality eyeshadow palette with a nice selection of lovely plummy shades. They feel creamy and blend nicely with each other for a pretty holiday look. They are just a little too cool-toned for my personal tastes, as I favor more warm tones. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful palette.
5. Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Pen– $20 (skyniceland.com)This cutting edge, triple acting eye cream in a portable pen is formulated with a breakthrough technology to combat three major eye issues: dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles, all while on the glow (exerpt). What a neat concept! I love that this eye cream comes in a pen form, making for extra convenience and taking on the go.
Overall Rating: I would give this month’s Boxycharm a rating of 9/10. Woo hoo! November’s Boxycharm has a combined value of $124.94, which far exceeds the $21 price tag, making it a great value. I also enjoyed the selection of great products from wonderful brands. My favorite products of the bunch are the Makeup Geek Blush, Crown Brush, and the Studio Makeup On the Go Eyeshadow Palette 😉
Did you enjoy your Boxycharm? Which products are you most excited to test out?
