Colourpop Mini Haul and Reviews

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far.  Today I’m bringing you a quick review of the goodies from my Colourpop Mini Haul!  Is it just me or does it seem like Colourpop is releasing new makeup every other week?!  Thank you for taking all my money ? I missed out on the initial release of the Yes, Please! Eyeshadow Palette and had been suffering from FOMO ever since ? So when they had a restock, I wasn’t gonna let the opportunity pass me by.  I couldn’t resist the new Powder Bronzer and No Filter Concealers so those jumped into my shopping cart as well 😉 Please read on to see how they performed.

1. Yes, Please! Pressed Powder Shadow Palette – Retail Price $16Our first ever fixed 12 pan palette is all about that golden hour glow – the hottest shades inspired by our fave time of the day (colourpop.com).  I’ll be dedicating an entire blogpost review to this palette which I will link here when it’s done 😉 But in short, I am in LOVE with this eyeshadow palette.  The warm shade selection is totally my jam and the formula is amazing.  12 super soft, creamy, pigmented eyeshadows with a $16 price tag?  YES, PLEASE! Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
2. No Filter Concealer in Medium Tan and Golden– Retail Price $6Our lightweight, creamy concealer was formulated with soft blurring pigments to give you a creaseproof, matte finish. No filter needed (colourpop.com).  This concealer is creamy, blendable, and gives medium coverage with a natural, satin finish.  I’ve set this with the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Face Powder (review here) and baked it with the RCMA No Color Powder (review here).  Both methods ensured that the concealer looked fresh and lasted all day.  Medium Tan has slightly peachy undertones while Golden has yellow undertones. I like layering Golden over a little bit of Medium Tan for some undereye color-correcting.  I will note, though, that this concealer oxidizes quite a bit.  If you are looking to brighten the undereye area, I recommend going 1-2 shades lighter than you normally would.  Also, despite appearances, there is less product in this tube than the standard drugstore concealer, so you will go through this rather quickly with daily use. For example, this Colourpop Concealer contains 0.14 oz while the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer contains 0.29 oz.  Overall Rating: 9/10 stars.

   

   

   

3. Pressed Powder Bronzer in Afternoon Delight – Retail Price $8Add warmth and dimension with our buttery soft, super blendable powder bronzer (colourpop.com).  These powder bronzers could also be purchased as individual pans for $7, but I opted for the compact because well, I’m a sucker for packaging 😉 I love the sleek white compact with the adorable gold stars and bonus points for including a mirror.  Even more standout is the formula of this bronzer.  O my goodness, it is so creamy, pigmented and blends like a dream.  Because the powder is so buttery soft, there is kick up when dipping your brush in the pan, which I personally don’t mind.  Afternoon Delight is a matte medium brown shade that compliments my warm undertones.  This has quickly risen to the top as one of my favorite bronzers ever.  Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
