December Monthly Empties and Reviews
Hi dolls! Today, I’m sharing with you my December Product Empties! You can find my Product Empties from November here. Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.
MAKEUP
Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara: This is the best fiber mascara I’ve tried thus far. The slim brush evenly distributes the fibers to really thicken and elongate the lashes. It gives you crazy sky high lashes that will last until you remove it at the end of the night.
Etude House My Lash Serum: I have the puniest natural lashes, so I am a total sucker for any products that promise to thicken or lengthen them. This lash serum got great reviews on Amazon and was under $10, but did absolutely nothing for my lashes sadly 🙁
ELF Lip Exfoliator in Rose: This is a holy grail product I keep repurchasing. I love the convenient lipstick bullet packaging of the lip scrub as opposed to standard jars where there is the hassle of scooping the product out with your fingers. I always use this lip exfoliant before every lipstick application so I already have backups ready to go.
SKINCARE
Boscia Cactus Water Hydrating Cream: For a gel, I was impressed by how hydrating this was. It has a refreshing scent, absorbs quickly, and creates a seal of moisture around the skin, without ever feeling heavy. My dry skin just drank up all the hydration. As a bonus, I am all about this cute packaging.
It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream Transforming Moisturizing Super Cream: This is a wonderfully thick face cream that deeply hydrates without feeling greasy and makes a fabulous base before makeup application. I enjoyed this so much that I invested in a full sized.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads: This was a surprise winner from my December Ipsy. These little cotton rounds are saturated with just the perfect amount of toner. The gentle, alcohol-free formula removed any residual impurities after my facial cleanser, and left my my skin feeling clean, but never drying.
Etude House Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask: I tried this sheet mask hoping for some relief for my ultra dry, tight winter skin and was so impressed. The hyaluronic acid was so moisturizing and I woke up the next day with plump, hydrated skin. Score! I already have a backup in my arsenal.
Lancôme Tonique Confort Re-Hydrating Comforting Toner: This is easily the most moisturizing facial toner I’ve ever tried. I applied a generous amount on a cotton pad all over my face after cleansing and it removed any leftover impurities, without drying out my skin. It left it feeling moisturized, without a tacky residue. Love this!
Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask: I received this mask in a Boxycharm ages ago, but really enjoyed the product when I would remember to use it. It smelled like a spa, felt very cooling and refreshing during the treatment, and left my skin feeling soft and clean. No complaints here!
Dr. Brandt PoreDemabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator: This has super fine microbeads that gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling clean and baby soft. I liked using this once every 2-3 days to prevent my skin from drying out too much. I noticed I receive a lot of Dr. Brandt products in my subscription boxes, so I already have a backup in my collection.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser: This is my holy grail face wash. I use this every night with my Clarisonic to cleanse my face after I’ve removed my makeup with some micellar water. This is an ultra gentle cleanser that takes off any residual makeup, but doesn’t strip the skin of moisture. Despite my wanting to venture out and try new cleansers, my husband loves this cleanser so much that he insisted we get another jumbo bottle. 😂
BODYCARE
Pistache Pistachio Body Butter: This body butter smelled ahhhmazing, like warm vanilla caramel. It has a very sweet scent, but I personally enjoy it, plus the thick formula felt so hydrating on the skin.
HAIRCARE
Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Strength + Moisture Leave-In Mask: This leave-in conditioner smelled so good, but did absolutely nothing to improve my hair condition. I applied a generous amount on damp, freshly washed hair and it didn’t help detangle or soften my hair. Unfortunately, this was a total dud for me.
Have you tried any of these products? How did they work for you?
XO,
Mary Dee
