February Monthly Empties and Reviews
Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far 🙂 Today we will be going over February’s Product Empties! My, where did the month go? 🤷 Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.
MAKEUP
Colourpop Eyebrow Pencil in Bangin’ Brunette: This eyebrow pencil glides on pigmented, without being overly creamy so it stays in place all day. I love that it included a spoolie on one end and that the ultra fine tip made it easy to draw small strokes with precision. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in The Naked Truth: I was spending New Year’s at a friend’s house and completely forgot to bring along my makeup bag 😅 So I went to the local Walmart and picked this up for a quick fix, because it was cheap and I enjoy the formula of the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette. Unfortunately, this was a total dud for me as it was powdery and lacked pigmentation. Between the poor formula and the broken shadows, I’m passing it along and would not repurchase.
Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes in Shy: Kiss makes my favorite drugstore falsies as they are super affordable and high quality. The tapered ends truly mimic the look of real hair while the Shy style looks natural for everyday looks. I love their entire line and would definitely repurchase.
HAIRCARE
L’Oreal EverPure Smooth Shampoo: I’ve been in love with the Ever Pure line ever since I received it in an L’Oreal Influenster box. I enjoy the herbal scent and the sulfate free formula lathers up nicely while prolonging my haircolor. I’ve already bought another shampoo in this line except in the Moisture version.
Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Conditioner: I had low expectations for this conditioner as it was under $3, but gave it a try as Herbal Essence brings me back to my middle school days. I was pleasantly impressed by how moisturized and soft it left my hair, without weighing it down. Plus, Herbal Essences products smell heavenly 😍 I would wear their scents as perfume if I could.
SKINCARE
Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment: I dig the chic purple and gold packaging of the Tarte Maracuja skincare line. I didn’t see a significant difference in skin brightening, but this eye cream moisturizes without ever feeling greasy and my makeup glides easily on top. I already have a full sized backup in my arsenal.
L’Oreal Age Perfect Glow Renewal: I believe this facial oil has been discontinued, but I really enjoyed how moisturizing and glowy it left my skin. The packaging is so lux from the glass bottle to gold dropper.
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack: This nighttime moisturizer has a delicious citrusy scent, absorbed quickly, and felt very lightweight on the skin. I prefer a heavier moisturizer at the moment, but would happily repurchase this for a tropical vacation and recommend it to those with oilier skintypes.
Malie System Collagen Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask: My skin has been so dry lately that I started developing dry patches 🙁 The sheet mask smelled refreshing, fitted nicely over the face, and was a welcome drink of moisture. I would recommend and repurchase.
Equate Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes: These cleansing wipes were another item I picked up on a whim and I was not impressed. While it did a decent job of removing my face makeup, it irritated my eyes 🙁 I’ll take the Costco wipes over these any day so I won’t be repurchasing.
BODYCARE
Banana Boat Deep Tanning with Green Tea: This is my all time favorite tanning lotion. It doesn’t feel greasy, keeps my skin moisturized, and prevents sunburns. The best part though is the banana coconut rum scent, which smells absolutely delicious. This lives in my beach/pool bag and I already have backups of this.
Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter: The citrus scent was very fresh and uplifting. The formula was lightweight and absorbed quickly, but I prefer a thicker moisturizer. I would recommend if you enjoy the yummy scent, but I would not repurchase.
NAILCARE
China Glaze Nail Polish in Techno: This was a pretty silver shade with chunky glitter, but as you can see, it has dried out and gone bad so I’m throwing it out.
Up & Up Nail Polish Remover with Acetone: I know acetone is very drying to the nails, but it quickly removes my stubborn glitter and gel polishes. This nail polish remover from Target is cheap and gets the job done. I always have back ups of this as I do my own nails 98% of the time.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your February Empties? I would love to hear about your product recommendations so please leave a comment below 🙂
