Flower Beauty Haul and Reviews
I’ve always been intrigued by Flower Beauty, the cosmetic line created by Drew Barrymore, so when they had some fabulous Black Friday promotions on the entire line, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do a makeup haul. The only product I’ve tried prior to this haul is the concealer, but the rest are all entirely new to me. I hope you enjoying reading my thoughts on how all these products performed!
Flower Beauty Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir – Retail Price $16 – Buy here
With fabulous packaging such as this, you can see why I gravitated towards this skin elixir. I love everything from the chic glass dropper bottle to the purple glitter drops inside. While the glitters look intense in the bottle, I did not see a speck of shimmer on my face once applied. If you have oily skin, I don’t think you would enjoy this at all as it can feel rather slick on the skin. I have very dry skin and even I had to learn that a little goes a long way. My dry skin loves the extra moisture the oil provides so I don’t mind the emollient texture. This doesn’t prolong the weartime of my foundation or fill in my pores, but it does add an extra barrier of moisture so my foundation glides on top like butter, instead of clinging to any dry patches. I personally love the light, luminous glow it gives my skin, particularly when paired with my drier, matte finish foundations. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Luminous Makeup in Classic Tan – Retail Price $14 – Buy here
I enjoyed the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Concealer so much, I went back for the matching foundation. The glass packaging is so chic and I love the convenient, hygenic pump. Classic Tan is about one shade too light for me, but nothing a little bronzer can’t fix. The coverage is light, buildable to medium while the formula is light as air. This foundation gives the skin a very natural satin, borderline luminous finish. If you are looking for a full coverage, long-lasting foundation, this is not for you, as it won’t cover up big blemishes or discoloration. In terms of longevity, I put it around the 5-6 hour mark, before it starts to wear off. However, if you like a more natural, everyday foundation, this is a beautiful formula as it really does look like your skin, but better. Overall Rating: 9/10 stars.
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer in Light/ Medium – Retail Price $10 – Buy here
This Light Illusion Concealer was the first product I ever tried from the Flower Beauty line. The formula is so creamy, blends out beautifully, and gives full coverage with a natural satin finish. There is something about the shape of the wand that makes the product glide on like a dream. I have the shade Light/Medium and I love how it brightens my undereye area and highlights my nose. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder in Caramel – Retail Price $13 – Buy here
This powder compact is so darn cute. I appreciate that they also included a mirror below the powder. This powder feels so soft and creamy to the touch and sets my foundation without drying out my skin or caking up. It’s a lovely, lightweight formula. Caramel matches my golden/ olive undertones perfectly. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
Flower Beauty Shimmer and Strobe Highlighting Palette – Retail Price $14 – Buy here
I like the sleek, travel friendly packaging, although I would have prefered a mirror over a brush I know I’m not going to use. As for the highlighters, they are absolutely gorgeous. The formula is so smooth, creamy, and gives a beautiful sheen to the cheekbones. The highlighters have a cream-like texture that melts into the skin instead of just sitting on top. They are very shimmery and pigmented, but without any chunky glitters. I love all three shades in the palette and mix them to customize my perfect highlight, depending on my mood that day. This highlighter palette is probably my favorite product out of this entire haul. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars
Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops in Cinnamon – Retail Price $10 – Buy here
This Blush Bomb has more of a gel consistency than a cream, as I had initially expected. Still, the formula is pigmented, feels lightweight, and lasts all day. I recommend working quickly to blend the product as it dries down quickly. Other than that, this doesn’t lift my foundation when I apply it on top and gives a very natural flush to the cheeks. If you are in the market for a liquid blush, you won’t be disappointed by this lovely formula. I just personally prefer the ease and simplicity of a powder blush for everyday application. Overall Rating: 8/10 stars.
Flower Beauty Warrior Glitter Shadow in Blade – Retail Price $10 – Buy here
This glitter shadow performs just as well as the Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows. I honestly cannot tell the difference between the two once applied on the eyes. The formula is pigmented, doesn’t flake out throughout the day, and it gives a beautiful pop of glitter on the lids. I picked up the shade Blade, a flattering rose gold, but there are a bunch of gorgeous neutral and bright colors offered on the site, that I’m eyeballing now as well. If you are looking for an affordable Stila Glitters dupe, look no further. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Have you tried any of these Flower Beauty products?
