Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Lotion Japanese Skincare Review

It’s no secret by now that I am a huge fan of Korean skincare. However, the world of Japanese skincare or J-Beauty is still completely new to me. I was fortunate to have won a skincare giveaway recently, that happened to include the Hada Labo Tokyo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Lotion!Today, I wanted to share with you a quick review of this cult favorite and see if it lives up to the hype!

This Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Lotion was one of my first ventures into Japanese skincare and I’ll be honest, I had absolutely no idea how to use this. This is the first product I’ve tried where I couldn’t read a word on the bottle. Even the cartoon illustration didn’t help 😂So, I had to research how to incorporate this in my routine. According to their website, while this looks like a clear toner, it’s actually a moisturizing lotion. To apply, pour a suitable amount onto the palm of your hands, then gently pat onto the skin until it is fully absorbed. It actively infuses four types of Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate skin, help preserve its optimum moisture balance, and to prepare skin for better absorption of other products.All I can say after using this for over a month is that this is hydration in a bottle. This soothing lotion has a viscosity somewhere between an essence and a serum plus no scent, as far as I can detect. It absorbs into the skin with zero tackiness or irritation and layers beautifully.My severely dry skin just soaks up this moisturizing goodness. It helps alleviate any dry patches and restore my compromised skin barrier. When one type of Hyaluronic Acid isn’t cutting it, why not go for four? This lotion is seriously more hydrating and effective than any hyaluronic serum I’ve tried to date. Best believe, this will be a staple in my winter skincare routine  from here on out. I am so impressed with the performance of this Hyaluronic Lotion that I want to try even more products from Hada Labo. If you are struggling with dry, dehydrated, parched skin, look no further.
