I’m From Rice Cream Korean Skincare Review

I am a huge fan of I’m From, a Korean Skincare brand that emphasizes ingredient transparency, honest materials, and no harmful additives. Their Rice Toner (review here) is a holy grail of mine, so I was ecstatic when Wishtrend sent me the newest additions to their beloved Rice line: the I’m From Rice Serum (review here) and I’m From Rice Cream, which I’ll be reviewing today!

Rice is known as the 1000 years Asian Beauty Secret. The cream contains rice bran extract rich in ceramide that has been distilled and specially treated by the in-house technology to help improve the skin tone and barrier from sun damage. It is rich in beauty minerals and vitamins B and E and effectively controls excessive sebum production. Together with the rice toner and serum, this cream will be ideal for daily use (wishtrend.com).The main active ingredient in this cream is the 41% Rice Bran Extract that originates from the Yeoju region in Korea. I think it is so neat that it is clearly displayed on the packaging so you know the exact origins of the ingredients.This cream comes in a standard glass jar with the minimalistic design being very much in line with their other aesthetically pleasing Rice products. It does not include a spatula, so I just scoop out the appropriate amount with my fingers each time.For anyone who dislikes fragrances in their skincare, this has no scent, as far as I can detect.As a part of my day and nighttime skincare routine, I apply this Rice Cream after my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop (review here) and Rice Serum (review here) and before a facial oil. My current favorite is the HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Facial Oil (buy here).This cream has the most beautiful whipped silky texture. It sinks right into the skin, deeply moisturizing without any greasy feel. It just feels so calming and luxurious, you have to feel it for yourself. Because of its lightweight nature and fast absorption, I can see this benefitting a wide range of skintypes. My makeup sits beautifully on top with no pilling or breaking apart. For someone with a normal to oily/combination skintype, I can see this providing ample hydration. With my severely dry skin during these winter months, I prefer to layer a facial oil on top to really lock in the moisture, particularly at night. I loved the Rice Toner and Rice Serum so much because of their gentle formulation and when used in conjunction with my Vitamin C Serum, there was a visible improvement in my texture and tone. I believe this Rice Cream works beautifully with the toner and serum to enhance the glass skin effect. Whenever I integrate this trio into my nighttime routine, I wake up in the morning with a noticeably brighter complexion and overall glow.
