Ipsy April 2018 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions
Hiii, dolls! Today, we will be going over the contents of April’s Ipsy Glam Bag! You can find my March Ipsy Glam Bag here. Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month. What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag (sign up here).April’s theme is Social Butterfly and comes with 5 products in this pretty butterfly pouch. This is one of the nicer quality bags I’ve seen in awhile.
- Hempz Ultra Moisturizing Herbal Lip Balm – Full Sized (0.44 oz) – Retail Price $8.99 – (Buy here)
Hempz Pure Mineral Extracts Lips is enriched with 100% Pure Organic Hemp Seed Oil and blended with natural extracts to provide dramatic skin hydration and nourishment to help improve the health and condition of skin (ulta.com). The formula is very creamy, glides on easily, and instantly hydrates the lips without feeling sticky or heavy. Additionally, I enjoy the convenient squeeze tube and I love the yummy fruity scent of this lip balm.
- Aurora 24hr Lively Lipstain in Salmon – Full Sized (0.03 fl oz) – Retail Price $8 – (Buy here)
Complete your makeup look with this bold and kissable lip stain. The Stain and Deliver lip stain will deliver a stunning matte finish and give you an effortless application. The long-lasting formula results in all-day glamour while providing precision definition to your pout (auroracosmeticsny.com). This lip stain has a unique pointed felt tip that makes it a breeze to precisely apply the product. You don’t even need a separate lipliner because this lines your lips for you. The formula is watery, but pigmented and dries down quickly after which, it does not budge. Salmon is a beautiful bright orange red that would look amazing in the summer months.

Vasanti Concealer Buffer Brush – Full Sized – Retail Price $23 – (Buy here)
Feels good when a brush was designed to set powder and give an airbrushed finish under the eyes. Most creasing of concealer happens here; so to combat this issue use the concealer buffer brush to blend powder and use it to set (vasanticosmetics.com). I love the soft bristles and sleek gunmetal packaging of this brush. The tightly packed bristles are the perfect shape to blend out my undereye concealer, while still maximizing coverage. It is very similar to the ELF Studio Flawless Concealer Brush I’m currently using, but with fancier packaging.
- Ofra Blush in Chameleon – Full Sized (0.14 oz) – Retail Price $12 – (Buy here)
Fabulous pressed powder blushes with strong pigment for a long lasting effect which can be applied wet or dry (ofracosmetics.com). The formula of this Ofra Blush is not as soft and creamy as say, the Pretty Vulgar Hush Blush or Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes, but it is pigmented and blends out beautifully on the cheeks. Chameleon is a lovely dusty peach shade that complements both natural makeup days and heavier smokey eyes. Additionally, these blush singles are already magnetized to be easily stored in Z-Palettes.

Purifect Coconut Micellar Cleansing Water – Deluxe Sample Sized (1 oz) – (Buy here)
This formula is infused with coconut extract to hydrate and smooth your skin. Travel much? Pack this. It’s a no-rinse formula, so you can remove your makeup, or freshen up mid-flight without running water (ipsy.com). I’m still going through my Garnier Micellar Water so I admit, I have not given this a go, but I fully intend to test this out on my upcoming trip. First impressions: yes, it does smell like coconut. Yum! 😍
Overall Rating: I was very impressed with April’s Glam Bag so I give this month a rating of 10/10 stars, based on my first impressions. This month’s bag included 4 full sized items with a retail value of $51.99, far surpassing the $10 price tag. That’s what I’m talking about! Thanks for coming through this month Ipsy 👍 My favorite picks of the bunch is the Hempz Lip Balm and Ofra Blush.
What did you receive in your April Ipsy Glam Bag? Which products are you most excited to test out?

Mary Dee
