Ipsy December 2018 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

Happy New Year, dolls!  I hope you are having a great start to 2019 so far 🙂 Today, we will be going over the contents of December’s Ipsy Glam Bag!  You can find my November Ipsy Glam Bag here.  Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month.  What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag (sign up here).December’s Glam Bag came with 6 products in this gold sequined pouch.

1. Half Caked Lip Fondant in Power Trip – Full Sized – Retail Price $16 – (Buy here)

How cute is the cake-themed packaging?  I’m totally getting Homer Simpson donut vibes.  I was very impressed with the creamy, pigmented liquid lipstick formula.  It applied smoothly and opaque, and does not transfer or budge until you want to remove it.  Power Trip is a flattering, warm brick red that looks amazing, particularly in the colder months.  

2. The Balm Take Home The Bronzer in Greg – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

I can vouch that this bronzer lives up to its claim of being anti- orange.  It is a true neutral bronzer that is not too cool and not too warm toned.  The formula is creamy, blendable, and warms up the face with a subtle satin finish.

3. Finding Ferdinand Blush in Skinny Dip – Full Sized – Retail Price $14 – (Buy here)

Skinny Dip looks like a lovely mauve blush.  However, I know I seldom reach for these individual blush pans as I love blush palettes, so I will be passing it along to a friend.

4. Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer in Taupe Tom – Full Sized – Retail Price $12.99 –  (Buy here)

Lately, I prefer a very fine tipped eyebrow pencil as opposed to these triangular, tapered edges so I will be passing along this product as well.

5. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

I was so impressed with these First Aid Beauty Facial Pads that I intend to invest in a full sized.  These little cotton rounds are saturated with just the perfect amount of toner.  The gentle, alcohol-free formula removes any residual impurities after my facial cleanser, leaves my skin feeling clean, but never drying or tight.  I love this!

6. Farah Tapered Blending Brush 35E – Full Sized – Retail Price $10 – (Buy here)

This gold brush is so chic.  The round shape and soft bristles does a great job of blending out cream products.  I like using this to blend out my nose contour.

Overall Rating:  I was very happy with December’s Glam Bag so I’m giving this month a rating of 10/10 stars, based on my first impressions.  I appreciated that December’s Ipsy contained 6 products instead of the usual 5.  Also, 4 of the 6 products were full-sized with a retail value of $52.99, which was generous.  Thank you Ipsy for coming through on the last Glam Bag of 2018!  My favorite picks of the batch are the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads and Half Caked Lip Fondant.
