Ipsy Glam Bag July 2016 Unboxing

Hi loves! Today, I am excited to share with you the contents of my July Ipsy Glam Bag. Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month. What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag. Let’s dive right in and get started!

July’s theme is Hot Summer Nights and the Glam Bag comes with 5 products in this adorable holographic/umbrella design pouch.

1. Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.08 fl oz)

This volumizing mascara creates alluring high volume that instantly enhances lash looks. Its easy-glide formula allows for ultra-black, buildable intensity while lashes remain separated and defined (Sephora.com). The matte packaging is very chic and I love the smaller brush for getting to those little lashes in the inner corner. I look forward to testing this out to see if it holds a curl for my stubborn lashes.

2. Mellow Baked Eyeshadow in Coco – Full sized (3.0g) – Retail Price $8 (mellowcosmetics.com)

Highly-Pigmented and silky smooth powder. Applies and blends evenly. The long lasting and shimmering colours can be worn wet or dry (Mellowcosmetics.com). I’m not familiar with this brand, but this is a lovely metallic taupe shade.

3. J. Cat Beauty Perfect Duo Brow Pencil in Dark Brown – Full Sized (0.25g) – Retail Price $3.99 (ulta.com)

Create flawless arches with this retractable eyebrow pencil, a blend of vegetable, coconut and soy bean oil that guarantees a fluid application and sensational color (ulta.com). The pencil’s slanted edge reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer and IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil. I like the convenience of having the color on one end and a spoolie on the other for blending.

4. Eva.Nye Get Glossed Hair Serum – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.4 fl oz)

The Get Glossed! Hair Serum by EVA NYC is the ultimate styling product for adding instant shine, while taming frizz and fly-aways. The thermal protecting formula smooths the cuticle and prevents breakage, while Keravis Protein increases strength and elasticity of hair (ulta.com). I apply hair glosses and serums after every time I wash my hair so this deluxe size will be great for packing along on my travels.

5. Trust Fund Beauty Le Vernis in No Filter – Full Sized (0.57 fl oz) – Retail Price $15 (trustfundbeauty.com)

Trust Fund Beauty is a quick-drying, chip resistant polish comes in cute bottles complete with some seriously sassy names. Plus, it’s 7-free, non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free (trustfundbeauty.com). I’ve received this nail polish brand in a previous Ipsy bag and liked the formula. This is a classy, pinky nude shade that can be worn year round.

Overall Rating: I am pretty happy with this month’s Glam Bag so I would give it a rating of 8/10 stars based on my first impressions. I enjoy the adorable cosmetics bag and nice selection of products. Not counting the sample sizes, this bag included 3 full sized items with an approximate value of $27. For $10, that sounds like a pretty good deal to me! I am most excited to try the Make Up For Ever Mascara and Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish 😉
