Ipsy November 2018 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

Happy Black Friday, dolls! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones 🙂 Today, we will be going over the contents of November’s Ipsy Glam Bag! You can find my October Ipsy Glam Bag here. Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that provides 5-6 sample/full-sized items for $10/month. What I like about Ipsy is that the price encompasses shipping, and it regularly includes full sized products in a cute cosmetics bag (sign up here).November’s Glam Bag comes with 5 products in this purple and black heart-patterned pouch.

Mac Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Base in Radiant Yellow – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

This foundation primer has the texture of a moisturizer with a slight yellow tint. Though, I don’t detect any color or shimmer once it has been applied on the skin. The formula is hydrating and my foundation glided on top much smoother. I’m pleasantly impressed with this MAC primer.

Lock It Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner in Pearl Brown – Full Sized – Retail Price $9 – (Buy here)

This liner has a creamy formula that glides easily on the eyes, and lasts a good amount of time on the waterline, though not entirely waterproof. I prefer a black pencil liner, but Pearl Brown is a beautiful metallic bronze.

Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Wine with Ice, Garcon – Full Sized – Retail Price $7.99 – (Buy here)

This deep red nail varnish would look amazing in the winter months ahead. I already own a couple of smiliar shades, so I will be passing it along to a friend.

Pistache Pistachio Body Butter – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

This body butter smells ahhhmazing, like warm vanilla caramel. It has a very sweet scent, but I personally enjoy it. I only wish I had a larger sample size as I’m already out after two applications.

Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

I’m fairly certain I’ve received a full size of this mascara in a previous subscription box and remember it didn’t do much for my puny lashes. When it comes to mascara, I need a formula that is going to quickly build tons of length and volume. I’ll be passing this along as well.

Overall Rating: I was underwhelmed by November’s Glam Bag so I’m giving this month a rating of 4/10 stars, based on my first impressions. Lately, I have just not been excited or impressed with the product selections 🙁 Ipsy needs to step it up soon or face the chopping block. My only picks of the batch are the MAC Primer and Pistache Body Butter.
