Ipsy September 2018 Glam Bag Unboxing and First Impressions

Howdy, y’all! Today, we will be going over the contents of September’s Ipsy Glam Bag! You can find my August Ipsy Glam Bag here. Dirty Little Secret Bronzer in Skinny Dip – Full Sized – $14 (Buy here)

When I first swatched this bronzer, I was certain it was going to be a total dud. This looks straight up like a gold eyeshadow, but I was blown away by how well it works as a bronzer. The formula is so creamy, blendable, and is actually pigmented enough to warm up my skin 🙌 The shimmers are very finely milled and look very subtle on the skin. You just look like you’re glowing all over. LOVE this!

Nomad Around the World in Positano Sunrise – Deluxe Sample Sized – (Buy here)

This was another product I initially underestimated that proved me wrong. This is a beautiful peachy highlighter and blush topper! The formula is pigmented, but so smooth and melts into the skin, rather than sitting on top, which can emphasize texture. I love the healthy glow it gives my cheekbones.

Luxie Detail Tapered Blender Brush – Full Sized – Retail Price $12 – (Buy here)

This brush has very soft synthetic bristles, which is my favorite for blending in cream products. The tapered shape works great for precisely blending in undereye concealer.

Trestique Mini Lip Glaze in English Rose – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

A lip glaze describes this product perfectly. The formula reminds me a lot of the Clinique Chubby Sticks. It is not as opaque as a liquid lipstick, but gives lips a splash of color with a glossy finish. It is not longlasting or transfer-proof, but feels so comfortable on the lips and makes for a natural, effortless look.

Grace & Stella Co. Rescue My Hair Mask – Deluxe Sized – (Buy here)

I haven’t had the chance to try this hair mask yet, but I am packing this with me to Thailand. I know I’ll be putting my hair through the ringer and it will be needing the extra TLC.

Overall Rating: I was fairly satisfied by September’s Glam Bag so I’m giving this month a rating of 7/10 stars, based on my first impressions. Initially, when I first unboxed the contents, I was completely disappointed and had zero interest in any of the products. But after putting them to the test, the bronzer and highlighter were surprise winners that became this bag’s saving grace.
