June Monthly Empties and Reviews
Happy Sunday Funday, y’all! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far ? Today we will be going over June’s Product Empties. Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.
MAKEUP
L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof Mascara: I love this cult fave mascara in both regular and waterproof versions. The mid-sized brush adds length and volume with each buildable coat for va-va-voom lashes. The formula is pitch black, dries quickly, and doesn’t smudge or irritate my eyes. This is one of my top 5 favorite mascaras of all time and I would repurchase, but first, I’m dying to try their new Lash Paradise Mascara ?
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Medium Beige: This super affordable concealer comes in a wide range of shades/tones, provides great coverage, blends well under the eyes, and holds up in the heat and humidity. I have backups of these and highly recommend!
Wet n Wild Proline Felt Tip Eyeliner: It’s no secret that I adore the H20 Proof Liquid Liner from Wet n Wild, but I was sadly disappointed in this product. The felt tip was too flimsy to make a sharp wing and it dried out so quickly 🙁 I will not be repurchasing.
Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Pixie Dust: It pains me to include this in my empties, because this eyeshadow broke apart in my Z-Palette during my travels ? I always try to be careful packing my eyeshadows, but I think the soft formula just made it more susceptible to crumbling. Nonetheless, this was a gorgeous chanteuse shade that was smooth, creamy, and pigmented. I highly recommend the MUG eyeshadow formula and would repurchase.
SKINCARE
Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes: This product is a notorious Empties repeat offender ? I adore these Costco Makeup Remover Wipes. They are so affordable, gently removes my face makeup, and doesn’t leave a filmy residue on my skin. These remain my current favorite makeup wipes and I will continue to repurchase.
Innisfree Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam: This cream cleanser smells ahh-mazing, just like Apple Jolly Ranchers ? It perked me right up every time I used it. It doesn’t quite remove all my makeup at the end of the night, but it did a decent job of cleansing my face in the morning, rinsing clean, and not leaving it overly dry. Overall, it was a nice cleanser, but I would not repurchase.
Holika Holika Skin & Good Cera Ultra Emulsion: I used this Emulsion has a moisturizer during the warmer months as it feels very lightweight on the skin. Did I see any noticable difference in my overall skin texture or condition after use? Not really. It did the job of providing adequate moisture for a makeup base, but I will not be repurchasing.
BioBelle #StayGorgeous Facial Mask: I received this #StayGorgeous Hydrating and Nourishing Mask in last month’s Boxycharm (blogpost here). I tested it before bedtime, and it felt very moisturizing and cooling while it was on the skin. However, I was surprised the directions said to wash off the essence after 15- 20 minutes. In my experience with sheet masks, you’re supposed to pat all the nourishing essence into the skin for maximum absorption. I rinsed my face as directed and unfortunately, didn’t see a huge difference in my skin the next morning. I would not recommend or repurchase.
BODYCARE
St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion: I love how easy and convenient it is to spray this all over after a shower, quickly rub it in, and then be on your way. This has a delicious coconut scent and feels so lightweight on, perfect for the hot summer months. However, I wish there was more product in here 🙁 I noticed I can finish an entire bottle of spray lotions in a single month, whereas it takes me way longer to go through a traditional lotion bottle.
NAILCARE
Up & Up Acetone Nail Polish Remover: This is a great affordable nail polish remover from the Target brand. It does a wonderful job removing regular and glitter nail polish. The acetone is admittedly drying to my nails, but I just don’t have the patience to wait for non-acetone formulas to do the job 😉 I already have backups of these and would recommend ?
HAIRCARE
It Haircare 12-in-One Amazing Leave In Treatment: So this is supposed to be a dupe for the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave In Conditioner, but… I actually liked this way more. The It’s a 10 has never worked for me as I found it was too heavy and weighed my fine hair down. This Leave In Treatment feels much for lightweight, while making my hair slightly more manageable. I enjoyed it while I used it, but it did not standout enough for me to repurchase.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your June Empties? I would love to hear about your product recommendations so please leave a comment below 🙂
