June Monthly Empties and Reviews
Today, I’m sharing with you my Product Empties from the month of June! You can find my Product Empties from May here. Each of these products will be accompanied by a mini review, and recommendation on whether or not I would repurchase.
MAKEUP
Chanel Beaute Des Cils Mascara Base: The plastic wand does a wonderful job of separating lashes for a clump free base. However, I don’t think this primer performs any different than if I were to apply an additional coat of mascara 🤷 For that reason, I can’t be bothered with the extra step so I won’t be investing in a full size.
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara: If you prefer a natural lash, you may very well love this mascara as it has a dry formula that adds definition and length. My little lashes need a more heavy duty, dramatic, voluminous formula so I won’t be reaching for this again.
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara: This mascara has just the right sized brush for evenly distributing length and volume to your lashes. It has a drier formula for a non-waterproof formula so it holds a curl nicely. I hoard deluxe samples of this mascara in my collection, which I received from sampler kits and free gifts with purchases 😉
NYX HD Photogenic Concealer: This is one of my favorite concealers from the drugstore. It is creamy, blends beautifully, provides medium buildable to full coverage, and gives a flawless finish. As a bonus, it comes in a range of 23 shades so you can be sure to find your perfect shade. I already have backups of the shades Glow and Tan.
SKINCARE
Farmacy Brightening Coconut Gel Sheet Mask: I believe I’ve tried these sheet masks years ago, but they’ve since updated the packaging. I applied the brightening mask before bedtime and was very impressed by how smooth, plump, and bright my skin looked the next morning. Brightening and hydrating? Yes, please!
Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum: I’m so happy I received another sample of this Sunday Riley Serum in my recent Sephora Play! box. This is the most moisturizing Vitamin C serum I’ve tried to date. It is creamy, but absorbs quickly into the skin without any irritation. I like it enough to consider investing in a full sized.
Lancôme Visionnaire Yeux Eye On Correction Eye Balm: Because this is a deluxe-sized sample, I have not used it long enough to see dramatic results, so I cannot attest to its anti-wrinkle claims. However, it does hydrate, feels very lightweight, and smooths the eyelid/undereye area before I apply my concealer. This eye cream is not bad, but it’s also not mind blowing or standout for me so I would not repurchase.
Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule: This serum has a slightly sticky consistency, similar to the CosRX Snail Essence, if you’re familiar with that milky texture. It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t irritate my skin. I’m sad to report I haven’t seen much of a difference in whitening to garner a repurchase.
Lancer The Method Polish: This skin polish has a very strong herbal scent, like lavender (I think). The very fine microbeads do a great job of deep exfoliation, revealing a brighter complexion. I enjoyed it, but likely won’t repurchase as there are other exfoliants on the market I want to try.
Clinique SPF 50 Face Cream: This sunscreen lived in my beach bag for the longest time. It didn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts. However, I am not a fan of the typical sunblock scent and heavy consistency. I prefer my Missha All Around Safe Block everyday of the week, so I will not be repurchasing this.
Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner: This has become my holy grail toner. This ultra gentle toner leaves my skin feeling clean, but soft and hydrated. If you have dry skin, like myself, I highly recommend giving this a try. I already have a backup ready to go.
HAIRCARE
L’Oreal Lock It Bold Control Hairspray: This is one of my favorite hairsprays from the drugstore because of its super strong hold. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re going for touchable beach waves, but if you want an updo that will withstand heat and humidity, you will love this.
NAILCARE
Kiss Maximum Speed Nail: Kiss makes my favorite press-on nails, hands down, but their nail glue is also great. It dries quickly and creates a strong bond for a long lasting manicure. Press-on nails, applied with this nail glue, always last at least 7 days on me.
BODYCARE
Method Body Pure Peace Body Wash: I received this body wash in a Target Beauty Box and really enjoyed the fruity, floral scent. It lathers up so nicely and rinses clean without stripping the skin of moisture. I would definitely repurchase a full size in the future.
Have you tried any of these products? How did they work for you?

Mary Dee
