Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Korean Skincare Review

Klairs’ is a hugely popular Korean skincare brand whose philosophy lies in creating gentle, cruelty free, and high quality, yet affordable products. Now that is a philosophy I can stand behind! It also happens to be one of Wishtrend‘s in-house brands and a cult favorite amongst Korean skincare enthusiasts. They were kind enough to send me one of their bestselling products, the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, so today, I wanted to share with you my final review and if it lives up to the hype.

This hypoallergenic vitamin serum was formulated with stabilized pure Vitamin C to treat dead skin cells, dull skin tone and enlarged pores. Use overnight to enjoy brighter complexion and clearer skin on the following morning (wishtrend.com).As a reference, my skin type is very dry, with hyperpigmentation leftover from acne scars.  Improving texture and tone while maintaining hydration has always been my biggest skin concerns.In terms of packaging, I find it chic in its minimalism. The dropper is practical and portions out just the right amount of product, which for myself is between 4 to 5 drops. I wanted to note that the bottle is plastic, not glass. I have read that Vitamin C serums should be preserved away from sunlight and/or in dark glass packaging to maintain its efficacy. That said, I am already more than halfway through one bottle and I have not seen any change or discoloration to the product itself. This leads me to believe that if you’re using this serum daily, as recommended, it will not diminish in quality before you have finished it up, despite its transparent packaging. As a part of my day and nighttime skincare routine, I apply between 4 to 5 drops of this serum after my essence and before my moisturizer. Directions recommend using this at night, but I just make sure to follow up with sunscreen when I’m wearing it during the day. If you are familiar with squalane oil, this serum has the same viscosity and feel on the skin. There is also a very slight natural citrus scent, but it doesn’t stick around long.I pat this serum all over my face and neck, concentrating on certain areas, such as on my chin, where I’ve been getting the majority of my breakouts lately. I did not experience any stinging, irritation, or peeling, even with twice daily usage. Despite the oily consistency, I’ve found it doesn’t impart a greasy feel or shiny finish once fully absorbed into the skin, and it doesn’t cause my makeup to break apart either, which I appreciate. In my opinion, this is a very gentle Vitamin C serum that would work wonders for anyone just being introduced to Ascorbic Acid. To tackle my older, deeper acne scars hyper pigmentation, I would have to use this product for a longer period of time or build up my tolerance to a serum with a higher concentration of Vitamin C. That said, after more than a month of daily use, this serum has been highly effective in brightening my overall skintone and preventing new dark spots from forming after my recent breakouts.

I truly believe that using this in conjunction with the By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence combined (here) has cleared up my acne significantly and helped brighten my skintone. Overall, this product lives up to the hype and I would recommend this wholeheartedly.
