Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield Sunscreen Korean Skincare Review

Klairs is a hugely popular Korean skincare brand whose philosophy lies in creating gentle, cruelty free, and high quality, yet affordable products. I have been enjoying their products so much that I had to get my hands on their new Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield, a physical sunscreen in accompaniment to their beloved Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence, a chemical sunscreen.

This physical sunscreen is hydrating, lightweight, non-irritant, and gentle for any skin type, even sensitive skin. It is SPF 50/PA++++ and contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect your skin against UVA/UVB (wishtrend.com).I have been enjoying the Klairs brand so much lately, but admittedly this gorgeous blue packaging and heavenly cream texture was what caught my eye from the very start. Is it not the perfect shade of blue? Initially, there is a very slight “sunscreen” fragrance, though I find it fairly pleasant and it does not stick around for long.Prior to this, I have always preferred chemical sunscreens as I found physical ones left an obvious gray cast on my medium tan skin tone, which is an automatic deal breaker for me. However, this beauty has swept away the competition and completely changed my perspective. Upon application, there is an initial “tone-up” brightening effect, but once you work it into the skin, it completely absorbs, setting to a semi matte base, and there’s no dreaded white cast. Woohoo!I’ve also found that this product layers very nicely. It protects my skin and makeup layers perfectly fine on top, without breaking apart or pilling. This physical sunscreen has made a convert out of me. Whereas I used to dread applying sunscreen, now I actually look forward to applying the Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield daily.
