Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Bronzer Review
Happy Wednesday, everyone! I hope you’re all having a great week so far! Today, I’m back at it again with a review of the Makeup Revolution Blushing Heart Triple Baked Bronzers! I recently reviewed the Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Highlighters which you can find here. I enjoyed those Highlighters so much that it prompted me to pick up these Bronzers as well. What it is: Makeup Revolution’s Blushing Hearts Bronzer is a triple baked obsession that you’re bound to fall in love with! This heavenly baked bronzer has three shades merged together to give skin a natural looking glow with a hint of shimmer (ulta.com).
Price: $7.00, 0.35 oz (ulta.com)
Packaging: I adore this cute packaging with the tattoo logos on the outside box and the heart-shaped container inside. Yes, it is very reminiscent if not a total dupe of the Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer, which I personally have not tried so I cannot compare their formulas. But those both retail for $30 each, while these Makeup Revolution Highlighters are a fraction of the price.Formula: Both of these bronzing powders are smooth, creamy, and blendable. Summer of Love is easily buildable so you can’t go overboard with your initial bronzer application. Hot Summer of Love is intensely pigmented and highly reflective so use a light hand unless you are going for the blinding look ;)Swatches: Hot Summer of Love is a very pigmented, highly reflective, copper shade. I personally would use this as a blush topper or highlighter as opposed to bronzing. I prefer matte or satin finish bronzers. This has far too much shimmer for bronzing or contouring. Summer of Love, on the other hand, is a beautiful warm bronzer with a satin finish. This is a light shade that would best suit those with fair skintones. It was not dark enough to bronze my medium/tanned skin, but looked gorgeous on my mom who is more fair. Overall Rating: I was fairly impressed with the quality and performance of these Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Bronzers so I award them 8/10 stars. I appreciate the creamy formula, adorable packaging, and affordable price point. I would recommend these bronzers only if they suit your particular needs and skintone, as I consider these more as highlighters than as bronzers. I will be keeping these as I enjoy the formula, but for actual bronzing and contouring, I will still be relying on the other matte bronzers in my collection.
Have you tried these Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Bronzers? What are your thoughts on the formula? 🙂
XO,
Mary Dee
