Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette Review
Happy Sundays, dolls! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The hubs and I just got back from Arizona after a whirlwind of a week, driving pretty much everywhere within a 30 mile radius of Phoenix ? After visiting 20+ rental properties, I think we might have found our next home! I am both excited for a change of scenery and a bundle of nerves, having never moved out of California. I’ll be keeping you updated on the move as it comes 😉 Today, we will be reviewing the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette! I was excited to put this to the test after reading online that this was an affordable dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, which I personally haven’t tried.
What it is: This palette contains Makeup Revolution’s unbelievable Radiant Light Illuminators. So soft and natural, bring instant illumination to your complexion (ulta.com).
Price: $15, 0.52 oz/ 15 g (ulta.com)
Packaging: I like the sleek and sturdy compact packaging, which will hold up during travels, and that it includes a large mirror. The large, generous-sized pans also make it easy to apply with your larger powder brushes.Formula: These powders feel very soft and creamy to the touch. The formula is finely milled and doesn’t emphasize the texture of my skin whatsoever. I detect hints of shimmer in the pan, but that doesn’t show up when applied on the skin. If you are expecting a super reflective highlighter, you would be sorely disappointed in these results, as this is a very natural illuminator. A light wash of these powders on a fan brush gives a gorgeous glow-from-within to the cheekbones and highpoints of the face. Swatches: This palette comes with three shades to mix and match as you see fit. The first two shades are very similar. One is a warmer, golden champagne shade while the other is slightly paler and more cool-toned. Both work well for adding a lovely natural highlight to the cheekbones and/or down the bridge of the nose. The last peachy shade is the darkest of the three and my personal favorite. It can be used as a highlighter as well, but I personally like using it as a finishing/setting powder over areas where I would bronze my face. It adds a beautiful warmth to the skin and all-over glow.
Overall Rating: I was very impressed with the quality and performance of this Makeup Revolution Radiance Highlighter Palette so I award them 9/10 stars. I love the creamy formula, shade selection, and affordable price point. These shades are so flattering on a wide range of skintones and I’m glad I was able to find use for all three shades. If you favor a more dramatic highlight, I would pass on this palette, but if you love a subtle, natural glow, I recommend adding these strobing powders to your collection! ?
Have you tried this Makeup Revolution Radiance Highlighter Palette? What are your thoughts on the formula?
XO,
Mary Dee

Uhh you’re moving, how exciting 😀 Must be nerve racking at the same time as well. Those highlighters look really nice. The swirl patterns remind me a little bit of the Laura Geller ones 🙂
