Mamonde Floral Hydro Cream Korean Skincare Review

Mamonde is a Korean Skincare brand that specializes in researching, cultivating, and capturing the essence of flowers and botanicals into all their products.  At their Mamonde Garden, located just outside Seoul, floral specialists study and carefully extract the active ingredients to integrate into their skincare line.  Mamonde was kind enough to send me their new Floral Hydro Cream infused with the Narcissus flower, so I thought I’d share with you a quick review.

Our refreshing watery gel-cream is infused with Narcissus Bulb Extract and Hyaluronic Acid to drench skin in deep, lasting hydration. Its super light, silky formula absorbs like a gel, moisturizes like a cream to relieve thirsty skin (us.mamonde.com).According to the Mamonde website, the narcissus flower stores ample moisture inside its bulb throughout winter, allowing it to flourish in early summer.  Once bloomed, narcissus’ flowers are able to circulate hydration between multiple flower heads.  I thought that was such an interesting concept and science behind the active ingredient in this cream.  My dry skin has been positively parched lately, so I will gladly take all the moisture I can get.First off, I love the ombre jar packaging, which looks beautiful displayed on any vanity. Second, for anyone who doesn’t like fragrances in their skincare, this moisturizer has a very strong floral scent.  I personally like it as it makes for a zen-like experience, plus it doesn’t stick around once applied to the skin. As for the formula, this gel-type cream feels lightweight and refreshing, almost cooling on the skin.  For a gel, I was pleasantly impressed with how moisturized it left my skin.  As a part of my nighttime routine, I would layer a sleeping pack or facial oil over this for extra hydration.  But as a daytime moisturizer, I can see this benefiting both dry and normal/ combination skintypes.
