Maybelline Matte Ink VoxBox Review

Hiii dolls!  Today, I will be reviewing the lippies that I received in my Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink VoxBox from Influenster!  This VoxBox included two shades of the new Maybelline Liquid Lipsticks.  Maybelline makes my favorite lipstick formulas from the drugstore so I was stoked to put their liquid lipsticks to the test!What it is: Ink your lips with a flawless matte finish! Maybelline’s SuperStay Matte Ink Lip Color features a unique arrow applicator for precise application and is available in a range of super saturated shades (ulta.com).

Price: $9.49 (ulta.com)Color:  There are two shades in this VoxBox, Lover and Pioneer.  Lover is a trendy pinky-mauve while Pioneer is a classic, cool red.  There are currently 10 shades offered on the Ulta and Maybelline website, ranging from nudes to fuschias and dark berries.  This is a great selection to choose from, based on your preferences.

Swatches:Formula: The viscosity of these lippies are not as runny as the consistency of Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips, but also not as mousse-y as the Ofra Liquid Lipsticks.  It is somewhere in between.  The tapered arrowhead applicator conforms nicely to the lips and applies color smoothly and opaquely with just one layer.  These dry down completely matte, but stays slightly tacky throughout the day.  Directions state waiting 3 minutes after application for the lipstick to set, but if I press my lips together, even after the 3 minutes, they will stick together slightly.  However, once these set, they are completely transfer-proof and last all day.  I found they do not budge through drinking and eating.Application:

Overall Rating:  Based on my experience, I would rate the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Lipsticks as 9/10 stars!  These are amazing quality, affordable, drugstore liquid lipsticks.  The shade selection is beautiful, and the formula is so pigmented and long-lasting.  If I had to note one area of improvement, it would be that the tackiness may bother some people.  Also, these are very drying, so it helps greatly if you thoroughly moisturize before lipstick application.   I adore the flattering mauve and red shade I received, and would love to try the nude color from their range.  I was thoroughly impressed with these lippies and recommend adding them to your liquid lipstick collection! ?
