My Top Favorite Mascaras and Reviews
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara – Retail Price $4.99 (Buy here)
Overall Rating: This was the only returning champion from my previous Favorite Mascaras post, so you know this is a tried and true love. I am on my third tube, so I can vouch that this product lives up to the hype. I like the narrow brush which helps grab those small lashes in the inner/outer corners. The formula is jet-black and quickly builds volume and length to your lashes. Plus, I am a sucker for the adorable black and green, doll-like packaging.
Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara – Retail Price $4 .99 (Buy here)
Overall Rating: I adore the original False Lash Effect Mascara in the green tube, but dare I say, I like this Sculpted Volume just a smidge more because of the curled brush?! 🙊 I have very straight lashes and the curled brush really gets to the root of the lashes to give them an extra, much needed boost. The formula is jet-black and quickly builds volume and length. I can’t recommend this enough and I am on my second tube as we speak.
Essence Lash Princess The False Lashes Mascara Extreme Volume & Curl – Retail Price $4.99 (Buy here)
Overall Rating: Can you tell I LOVE Essence mascaras? 😉 Having found such great success with the Lash Princess Mascaras, I decided to branch out to The False Lashes line. Admittedly, I was not a fan when I first tried this mascara, because I found the formula to be too wet, making it difficult to hold a curl. My recommended technique is to apply one coat, wait a minute or two for it to dry, then apply another. The mascara will build upon itself, giving you the thickest, most voluminous lashes.
Butter London Double Decker Lashes – Retail Price $20 (Buy here)
Overall Rating: If you are looking for natural definition, this mascara… is not for you. This mascara is for those craving thick, va-va-voom lashes. It doesn’t curl my stubbornly straight lashes, but it quickly builds volume to my wimpy lashes without weighing them down. The mascara wand is on the larger side so I can only use it on my upper lashes, but the formula is excellent.
It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – Retail Price $24 (Buy here)
Overall Rating: This mascara has a slim brush which reaches the small lashes in the inner corners to quickly build length and volume with each coat. Despite not having a curled brush, it does a wonderful job of really getting into the root of the lashes to give them a ton of lift. One coat gives me natural definition, but two or three coats give me major volume and lift. Plus, the ultra slim packaging just looks really cool in its simplicity.Have you tried any of these mascaras? What are your favorite mascara recommendations?
