Neogen Dermalogy Real Vita C Serum Korean Skincare Review
When it comes to Vitamin C Serums, it’s no secret that I adore the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop (buy here). I dedicated an entire blogpost review to this cult favorite, which you can read all about here. As I am well into my second bottle and building up my Vitamin C tolerance, I wanted to increase the concentration and strength of active ingredients. Enter the Neogen Dermalogy Real Vita C Serum. Today, I wanted to share with you a quick review based on my experience with the product.

A super potent Vitamin C Serum is enriched with Niacinamide and 22% of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate – a stabilized source of vitamin C – along with citrus fruit extracts and vitamin complex (Vitamin E, Vitamin B5) that all work together to brighten and firm the appearance of skin for healthy-looking complexion (amazon.com). Improving texture and tone while maintaining hydration has always been my biggest skin concerns. In terms of packaging, it is very practical and minimalistic. The dropper portions out just the right amount of product, which for myself is between 4 to 5 drops. I do appreciate that unlike the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, which is housed in a clear plastic bottle, this Neogen serum comes in a dark glass bottle to help maintain its efficacy. This Neogen Real Vita C Serum is comprised of 22% Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a stabilized source of Vitamin C. Because I didn’t want to risk overwhelming my skin initially, I have been using this once a day and so far, I am quite enjoying it. As a part of my daytime skincare routine, I apply between 4 to 5 drops of this serum after my essence and before my moisturizer. I pat this serum all over my face and neck, concentrating on certain areas, such as on my chin, where I’ve been getting the majority of my breakouts lately. I still need to finish this bottle to really see the long term effects and judge if it can truly tackle my hyperpigmentation. For now, this does give an overall brightening effect, but what makes this serum standout to me is the lovely formula. It is so lightweight and sinks into the skin without any oily film or greasy feel. Despite the high concentration of Vitamin C, it is still very gentle, dare I say even hydrating. This is likely from the added Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid to ensure the skin remains moisturized and smooth as well. I have experienced no irritation or stinging with daily use. So far, so good!
