NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Full Coverage Foundation Review

Hiii, dolls! Today, I’m excited to be reviewing the goodies that I received in my NYX Professional Makeup VoxBox from Influenster!

This VoxBox included the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Full Coverage Foundation and Matte Primer. I’ve had almost a month to put these products to the test and formulate my own opinions. Please read on to see my rating of each product based on my personal experience.

Before I jump into the foundation review, I’ll cut right to the chase with the Matte Primer. If you have oily skin, you may very well love this primer as it truly mattifies the skin and makes for a smooth base for foundation. If you combine these two products, I’m certain you will look completely oil-free and flawless all day long. However, if you have dry skin, like myself, this primer is just too thick and takes some elbow grease to squeeze out of the tube and work into the skin. The combination of a matte primer beneath a matte foundation will look too drying and zap your skin of any moisture. Now, on to the foundation!

Formula: This foundation has a thin viscosity, but yields almost full coverage with just one thin layer. With two layers, it gives such great coverage that I barely have to use any concealer under my eyes. I have very dry skin, so I do have to exfoliate and moisturize well before applying this foundation to prevent it from clinging to dry patches. The foundation sets very quickly, leaving behind no tackiness, and doesn’t need to be set with powder to prolong its wear time. I’m very impressed with how lightweight it feels on the skin considering it provides so much coverage. By the end of the night, the foundation had only worn off around my nose area, which is normal with my constant nose blowing, but the rest of my face was still matte and flawless. Shade Range: There are currently 45 shades available, which is highly impressive! There is a great range of colors from porcelain/fair to very deep skintones. I chose the shade Golden, as that is generally my shade range in most foundations. and it’s about 2 shades too dark for me and dare I say, even a little too pigmented? I consider myself pretty golden-toned, but this shade has a very strong yellow undertones, so just a heads up if you are selecting your shades online.

Application: I like applying this foundation best with a damp beauty sponge. My current favorite is the Morphe Highlight and Contour Sponge. A blending brush would be too drying to distribute the product with my particular skintype, though I’m sure you could make it work if you had combo/oily skin. The damp sponge gives me some extra moisture and really presses the product into my skin, which I feel contributes to it lasting all day. One pump is plenty of product for full coverage all over. Swatches: The top photos are one layer applications of the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation in natural lighting. As you can see, a little goes a long way. Overall Rating: I was very impressed by this NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation so I am giving it a rating of 10/10 stars. I love the chic packaging with the pump, extensive shade range, and the longwearing formula. If you are looking for a beautiful, full coverage foundation that will last all day, look no further. This foundation is totally heat-proof, humidity-proof, and sweatproof. It is not going anywhere.
