Origins Skincare VoxBox Reviews
Howdy, y’all! Today, I will be reviewing the skincare goodies that I received in my Origins VoxBox from Influenster! This VoxBox’s theme is #PinkWaterCream and comes with three products from Original Skin line. I’ve only tested out small samples from Origins here and there in the past, so I’m happy to be able to partake in the campaign. Please read on to see my rating of each product based on my personal experience ☺️I’m digging the chic pink packaging of the box and products inside ?I received three products from the Original Skin line: the Matte Moisturizer, the Renewal Serum, and the Retexturizing Mask.
- Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb – Full-Sized 1.7 oz – Retail Price $34
A mattifying moisturizer for hydrated, healthy-looking skin… Great to use alone or as the perfect prep-step for seamless makeup application, it delivers essential hydration and nourishment to all skin types (sephora.com). If you have very oily skin, you will LOVE this moisturizer. This product doesn’t mess around when it claims to mattify the skin. It applies smoothly, feels very lightweight on, and magically removes all shine and oil from your face. I prefer a heavier moisturizer since I have dry skin, particularly during the colder months, but I will be packing this on my upcoming travels to the tropics to combat humidity and shine. As a bonus, this smells delicious and reminds me of oranges ? The refreshing citrus scent perks me right up in the morning. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
- Renewal Serum with Willowherb – Deluxe Sized 0.5 fl oz
Renew your complexion with Origins Original Skin™ Renewal Serum, a super-serum that helps the skin look fresher, brighter, and smoother while it minimizes the appearance of imperfections. Formulated with Canadian willowherb, Persian silk tree, and a potent blend of actives to support smooth, refined pores and boost skin’s overall quality, it features a blend of optics that help soften and blur the appearance of pores and imperfections, leaving skin looking healthy and glowing (sephora.com). This serum feels very similar to the accompanying moisturizer, except it’s more runny in consistency. I apply it after my CosRx Snail Essence and before the Matte Moisturizer. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin, and doesn’t add any additional shine. There’s nothing bad about the product as far as I can see. I just honestly can’t tell if it’s making a huge difference to my skin in conjunction with the Original Skin Moisturizer. Overall Rating: 7/10 stars.
- Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay – Deluxe Sized 1 fl oz
Made with Mediterranean rose clay, Canadian willow herb, and exfoliating jojoba beads, it helps gently deep clean while refining skin’s texture. Pores appear to vanish and clarity is restored for a radiant, youthful-looking complexion that’s silky-smooth to the touch (sephora.com). I applied a thin layer of the mask all over my face and felt the pink clay quickly harden. After about 20 minutes, I added some water, scrubbed in the microbeads for some extra exfoliation, and rinsed clean. The treatment left my skin feeling smooth, brighter and tiiight. Like the Matte Moisturizer, I highly recommend this mask for those with normal to combination/oily skin as it may be too drying otherwise. Overall Rating: 9/10 stars.Overall, I was very impressed with the Origins Original Skin line, despite it not exactly catering to my particular skin type. Nevertheless, I look forward to trying different products from the brand that are more suited for dry skin.
Have you tried any products from Origins? What are your favorite skincare recommendations?
