Physicians Formula Makeup Haul and Reviews
Hiii, dolls! Today, I’ll be reviewing some goodies from my recent Physicians Formula Haul! Admittedly, I’ve never really gravitated towards the brand before, as they are on the higher end of pricing for the drugstore. However, since familiarizing myself with the CVS Extra Bucks Rewards Program, I’ve had the chance to try out more products from their line and I gotta say… I’m digging it.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Deep Bronzer – Retail Price $14.95 (Buy here)
Ultra-luxurious bronzer, infused with Murumuru Butter, delivers a radiant Brazilian goddess glow! Incredibly creamy and soft texture combines the best features of a powder and cream bronzer, to deliver a lit-from-within tropical glow unlike any other (physiciansformula.com). First off, it’s obvious that the packaging is ahh-mazing. I love everything from the fun tropical print to the delicious coconut scented powder inside. The warm fragrance just transports me back to the beach every time I use it. The formula is creamy, builds up easily, and blends out beautifully on the skin for a natural sunkissed bronze. The powder is not completely matte, but there are no visible shimmers either. It has a satin finish that just gives your skin a radiant all over glow. My only complaint about the Butter Bronzers is the terrible color selection. I originally purchased the shade Bronzer, which is so light it is essentially a face powder for me. Now, this Deep Bronzer shade is darker, but not by much. It works as a natural bronzer on my paler days, but won’t do much when I’m already tanned. I just don’t understand why they are so reluctant to make darker shades. Physicians Formula, please make deeper colors so everyone can enjoy this wonderful product! Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation in DW2 – Retail Price $14.95 (Buy here)
A long-wearing, buildable, and breathable foundation that provides lightweight, medium coverage with a healthy, satin finish (physiciansformula.com). If you are looking for a natural, everyday foundation you can quickly apply and be out the door, this is your foundation. The formula is so lightweight, blends seamlessly into the skin, and gives you light-buildable-to medium coverage. It never feels heavy or cakey whatsoever and gives skin a natural dewy finish. The names says it all. It really looks like your skin, but healthier and better. I personally like the heavy glass packaging and large doe foot applicator. The bottle has got some weight to it, which makes it feel very chic and high end. I picked up the shade DW2 (stands for Dark Warm 2, I’m assuming), which is a shade too dark for me, but matches my tanned undertones nicely. Overall Rating: 9/10 stars.
Physicians Formula The Healthy Lip in All Natural Nude – Retail Price $7.95 (Buy here)
Long-wearing, decadent mousse-like texture lipstick delivers high-impact color that glides on for seamless one-stroke color payoff (physiciansformula.com). Physicians Formula really kills it with their chic packaging! I like the sleek, clear tube, while the pointed doe-foot applicator does a great job defining the lips and evenly distributing product. The mousse-y formula feels super lightweight, yet pigmented and glides on smoothly for opaque color. It dries down to a true matte finish that is long-lasting, but not cumbersome to remove if you need to. All Natural Nude is a beautiful, flattering peach nude I will happily be rocking all the time. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.
Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush – Retail Price $11.95 (Buy here)
Ultra-soft and blendable blushing powder features a fresh and vibrant mix of blushing tones infused with a pop of color to create a healthy glow. Multi-reflective pearls provide a soft iridescence to highlight contour and add radiance to cheeks (physiciansformula.com). Between the pink chrome compact and heart imprints in the powder, I just can’t handle the cuteness 😍 Also, am I crazy or does this also have a very faint, floral scent?! To apply, I swirl my fluffy brush into the blusher to mix it all together before sweeping it onto the apples of my cheeks. It gives my skin a very rosey flush with a hint of shimmer, so I don’t feel like I need to add a highlighter on top. The formula is creamy and blendable, but not the most pigmented. However, I don’t think this is a bad thing as the powder is still very buildable and makes it less likely that you will go overboard with the blush. Overall Rating: 10/10 stars.Have you tried any of these Physicians Formula products? What are your favorite Physicians Formula products?
