Play! By Sephora November 2016 Unboxing & First Impressions

Happy Thursday, dolls! Today, I will be sharing with you the contents of my Sephora Play! sample box for November 2016. Play! is Sephora’s subscription service that provides 5 beauty samples plus 1 fragrance sample for $10/month (plus local taxes). Let’s get right to it!

November’s theme is Best in Glow and the Play! Bag comes with 6 products in this “The Glow-Getters” pouch.As usual, it includes an insert with product descriptions/ directions and a Play! Pass, redeemable in Sephora stores for 50 extra Beauty Insider points with any purchase.

Cover FX Illuminating Primer – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.16 fl oz)

Glow-inducing, silicone-free primer preps skin with a light-reflecting mineral complex and helps eliminate dullness (insert). This goes on smoothly and absorbs very quickly into the skin while imparting a dewy sheen under your foundation.

The Estee Edit by Estee Lauder Dissolve the Drama – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.5 fl oz)

Innovative 2-in-1 makeup remover and oil cleanser transform from a luxurious, silky oil to a nurturing milky foam that leaves skin fresh and luminous (insert). Because this cleanser is oil based, it is very moisturizing and doesn’t dry out the skin when removing makeup. I still follow up afterwards with my Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser on a Clarisonic to remove all residue.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold – Deluxe Sample Sized (1 g)

Multipurpose, high-pigment eyeshadow stick glides on and blends easily for transfer-proof, all-day wear (insert). This is a beautiful cream shadow pencil in a flattering champagne shade. I like using this to brighten up the inner corners of the eyes.

Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin Up Pink – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.1 oz)

Hydrating, glossy lip gel visibly plumps lips with a lustrous sheen and always-flattering hot hue pink (insert). This lipgloss is super cute and sleek. However, I personally don’t think bubblegum pink shades are very flattering on my skintone so I will be passing this along.

GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment – Deluxe Sample Sized (0.3 oz)

Skin-clearing mud mask with activated charcoal draws out dirt and impurities while also helping to brighten and soften (insert). I’ve been dying to try these cult fav GlamGlow Masks so I was excited to receive this. Stay tuned for an update!

Stella McCartney Pop Eau de Parfum – Sample Sized (0.05 fl oz)

A celebration of self expression and independence, this bold, contemporary scent layers bright floral notes over a base of sandalwood (insert). I am a HUGE fan of Stella fragrances. Her signature rose scent, Stella, is DIVINE. Pop smells more bright and fruity, in my opinion.

Overall Rating: I am very satisfied with September’s Sephora Play! Bag so I award it a rating of 10/10 stars based on my first impressions. With the exception of the lipgloss, I will be happily using up all the products in this sample box. My favorite picks of the batch are the Laura Mercier Eye Shadow Stick, GlamGlow Mask, and Stella Pop 😉
