RCMA No Color Powder Review

Hi dolls!  Today, I’m bringing you a review of the RCMA Makeup No Color Powder!  I’ve heard such rave reviews about this non color depositing powder on social media that I had to try it out.  I’ve tried baking with the ELF HD Powders, and while I’ve enjoyed the formula overall, I find they still leave a gray cast on my tanned skintone.  I was on the prowl for a truly invisible setting powder so I finally bit the bullet and placed an order for the RCMA Powder on Beautylish.com.  Side note: I had a great first time shopping experience with Beautylish and highly recommend! ?

What it is:  Set your makeup like the pros with this cult-classic invisible setting powder. Used on set by Hollywood makeup artists for years, RCMA No Color Powder sweeps seamlessly over skin, locking in a soft-focus finish that stays comfortably matte all day (beautylish.com).

Price: $12, 3 oz (beautylish.com)

20170515_123701Packaging:  OK, so this product’s only flaw as far as I can see, is its bulky packaging.  The bottle is a cheap, lightweight plastic with a pop cap that gets product everywhere.  It is neither attractive nor travel friendly.  I personally don’t mind as in this case, I care only about the quality of the product inside, and the cheap packaging likely plays a huge role in its affordable price point.  So no complaints here!  I just sift some out onto a clean surface to use, but you could always purchase empty sifter containers on Amazon or eBay. 😉IMG_20170515_130255_25820170515_124142Formula:  This powder is so finely milled, blendable, and feels like silk on the skin.  I like to dip my damp Pur Cosmetics Blending Sponge in the powder and apply it heavily to the undereye and lightly everywhere else.  I  leave it on for a couple of minutes to bake while I do my eyebrows.  Then I take stippling brush or any large powder brush and lightly dust the excess back into the skin on areas I did not bake.  O my goodness, I LOVE the effect this powder has on my skin.  It blurs my pores, takes away the shine, leaves a flawless matte finish, and really makes my makeup last all day.  As for its No Color claims?  It really doesn’t add any additional pigment.  Winning!

20170515_124259Application:  This photo was taken with camera flash and after adding blush/bronzer.  There is no gray cast or flashback from the RCMA Powder.  Woohoo!2017-05-14-01-29-33-549Before and After:  Below you can see the before and after powder comparison.  The top photo is one layer application of the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation.  The second was taken after dusting some RCMA No Color Powder over the foundation.  The powder mattifies the skin, but doesn’t alter the color of the foundation.

Overall Rating:  I was so blown away by the quality and performance of this RCMA No Color Powder so I award it a well deserved 10/10 stars.  Admittedly, the packaging is not compact or travel friendly, but you really can’t beat the price point for how much product you’re getting.  This bottle will last me for quite some time and the exceptional formula makes it more than worth while.  The non-drying and non-color-depositing powder makes my makeup last all day, all the while giving me a flawless, airbrushed finish.  I’m so happy that this product is completely lived up to the hype.  This is my new favorite setting powder and I highly recommend!

Have you tried the RCMA No Color Powder?  What are your thoughts on the formula?
