Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip Review
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend 🙂 Today, I’m bringing you a review of the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip Set! This Lip Set caught my eye because it consists of deluxe sized lip products in a variety of bold shades, ranging from bright to vampy. This is such an awesome way to sample different lippies from various Sephora brands. What it is: A multibranded sampler set of six products for creating bold lip looks (Sephora.com).
Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Yaasss:Designed for styles ranging from modern minimalist to bold and dramatic, this high-definition, saturated formula starts as a traditional lipstick that’s been liquefied and concentrated, resulting in a luxurious, velvety texture with a sophisticated, matte finish. The full-coverage formula comes in an array of on-trend bold and everyday shades and features a paint brush wand with an ergonomically slanted, soft applicator so anyone can paint on precise pigment no matter your skill level (sephora.com). This lavender shade is so unique and definitely a statement lip. While I think the shade is beautiful, it isn’t very flattering against my golden-tan skintone. I do love the creamy, pigmented, mousse-y formula of the Tarteist Lip Paints. It isn’t completely transfer proof, but lasts very comfortably. I would definitely try this formula in a different shade.
Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in An Affair:Velour Lovers Lip Colour’s innovative, matte lipstick fuses delicate mattifying powders with moisturizing mango butter. It provides lips with a sensorial application experience that creates a smooth, velvety texture (sephora.com). An Affair is a stunning deep plum shade with a satin finish. It glides on easily, creamy, and opaque. It feels so comfortable on the lips, but will transfer if you are eating or drinking. Sephora Rouge Cream in R49:A revamp of the iconic Sephora Lip Attitude Chic, this new hydrating formula provides improved coverage and is rife with pigment. The creamy texture softly glazes your lips, imparting just the right amount of color and sheen (sephora.com). R49 aka Belly Dancing is a neutral red shade that would flatter a wide range of skintones. It is creamy, very pigmented and leaves a comfortable, satin finish.
Ciate Liquid Velvet in Head Over Heels:Liquid Velvet Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick combines highly-pigmented, gorgeous matte, long-wearing lip color with hyaluronic acid for its intense lip-conditioning benefits so that lips appear fuller, while feeling more supple and smooth. The creamy, non-drying lip formula is infused with Ciaté London’s proprietary blend of moisturizing PlushPigment, and it features high-performance pigments that glide on to lips for bold color and extreme hold (sephora.com). This bright fuschia berry shade is so fun and will be particularly stunning in the spring and summer months for a pop of color. I fell in love with this mousse-like texture, which reminds me of lot of Ofra’s liquid lipsticks. The formula is so creamy, ultra pigmented, and so comfortable for how long-lasting it is. This was my favorite lippie in the set.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Damned:Now in 28 bold shades, Everlasting Liquid Lipstick gives lips long-lasting wear and high-pigment color. Its creamy, color-rich formula glides over lips like a gloss but dries to a true matte finish. It’s infused with natural comfort-enhancing ingredients, including vitamin E and sunflower seed so you can flaunt lasting matte color that leaves lips feeling comfortable (sephora.com). This black cherry shade is absolutely stunning. I generally love Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick formulas as they are ultra pigmented and longlasting (Bow n Arrow is a favorite), but I was disappointed that this applied patchy. I’m assuming it is because Damned is a dark, vampy shade. I would still rock this color, but I recommend checking out other shades if it’s your first introduction to the KVD line.
Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Aubergine:Bite Beauty’s latest breakthrough formula boasts a collection of beautiful nudes, striking reds, and deep burgundies with a matte yet moist texture. The secret is the moisture-locking power of orange peel wax along with the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. Each gorgeous shade is water-resistant and long wearing (sephora.com). This eggplant shades is so elegant and flattering. I love the convenience of the crayon packaging for taking on the go. You don’t need lip liner to easily reapply throughout the day. Bite Beauty consistently makes beautiful lipstick formulas that are comfortable, creamy, and opaque. Additionally, I love the cola scent of Bite Beauty lippies.Swatches:
Overall Rating: I rate this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip Set as 9 out of 10 stars. I love the plummy color selection, pigmentation, and you can’t beat the value for the price. $28 for 6 deluxe lip products is a great deal! If you are a lipstick addict like me, you know, it’s a looooong time before you finish an entire lippie. This is a amazing deal for sampling different bold lipsticks from different high end brands. If you fall in love with a shade, you can choose to invest in a full sized. I really enjoyed this bundle and highly recommend it if you love deeper shades of lipstick. My favorite pick of bunch is the Ciate Liquid Velvet and Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick 😉
Have you tried this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip Set? Which was your favorite lippie?
