The other active ingredient is 4% Niacinamide to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture, dullness, and enlarged pores. To date, this is hands down the most effective serum I've found to quickly brighten my dark spots and stubborn hyperpigmentation, left over after every acne breakout. The formula is very gentle and layers well with any other active serum. I apply this twice a day and see the biggest difference in fading dark spots.
